About
The Goh Velin beach stretches behind the dunes of Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys, facing the bay of Quiberon and the islands. Its appeal is as much scenic as practical. Three access points shape the beach: the Route de la Baie d’Abraham with picnic tables, a playground and a bar-restaurant; the Route des Sables with the first-aid post and disabled access; and the Route du Rohu, on the sailing school side. Public toilets are open at all three access points in summer. Swimming is lifeguarded in July and August. The first-aid post is open from 1.30 pm to 7 pm and lends a Hippocampe chair and a Tiralo on booking. The site is on the GR34 and is ideal for a day combining swimming, picnics, walking and water sports. Water quality is monitored from June to mid-September by Golfe du Morbihan Vannes Agglomération. Animals are not allowed on the beach.
