About
The Grande Plage of Port-Navalo is officially called Port-Blanc beach by the town of Arzon. It lies in a spectacular maritime area, close to the entrance to the Gulf of Morbihan, where the currents can be powerful. For this reason, you must always swim within the lifeguarded zone when it is open. In 2026, lifeguards were on duty every day from 4 July to 30 August, in three periods: from 4 to 10 July, 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm; from 11 July to 23 August, 11 am to 7 pm; then from 24 to 30 August, 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm. It is one of the town’s three lifeguarded beaches, with Kerver and Fogeo-Kerjouanno. Water sports at Port-Blanc are regulated by an order of the maritime prefecture. Water quality is monitored by the town and Golfe du Morbihan Vannes Agglomération. Do not confuse this beach with the port of Port-Navalo itself, where currents and boat traffic make swimming unsuitable.
