About
This walk starts from the Saint-Nicolas chapel, a 16th century fishermen’s chapel in Port-Manec’h, in the commune of Névez. The simple chapel has a fine timber roof restored by the Compagnons du Devoir and two stained glass windows by master glassmaker Michel Guével; it is the only one in the commune to have kept its original bell. The path passes the Poulguin cove and an old slipway built of upright stones, visible at low tide, then the marina, with a lovely view of the island of Groix, and a viewpoint over the estuary. The loop is 10.3 km long; allow about 3 h 15 of walking. Start: the Saint-Nicolas chapel, in Port-Manec’h (Névez). The official route, published by Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
