About
The Camors state forest, the Petit Bois site and megaliths: this trail brings together the best of the commune. The start is at the Petit Bois, a leisure park with a fishing pond, picnic areas, a fitness trail and a treetop adventure course. Along the forest rides you reach the Étoile roundabout and, close by, the Braz menhir, the “great menhir” over 3 m tall, raised more than 5,000 years ago and listed as a historic monument. The path passes under the Auray to Pontivy railway through two small tunnels, follows the Vieille Forêt pond, then reaches the Bihan menhir, the “little menhir”, also listed, and the Fionnec wash house. The loop is 9.3 km long; allow about 2 h 15 of walking. The stated level is medium. Start: the Petit Bois park, rue de l’Étang, in Camors. The waymarking is yellow. The official route, published by Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
