About

In the 650 hectare Camors state forest, water is everywhere: ponds, rivers, springs. The forest is home to varied wildlife and for centuries provided a living for many woodworkers. From the Petit Bois park, the trail follows the GR for a while, waymarked in red and white, then the Grenan, Noë Marrec and Loges forest rides. It passes the Sabotiers spring, then follows the Motte stream: near the Motte mill pond stand the remains of the medieval Château de Comorre, built on a fortified spur. The loop is 11.3 km long; allow about 2 h 45 of walking. The stated level is medium. Start: the Petit Bois park, rue de l’Étang, in Camors. The waymarking is yellow, and red and white on the section shared with the GR. The official route, published by Auray Quiberon Terre Atlantique, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
