About

In Pont-Aven, Sébastien Martinez carries on the fine cuisine of Rosmadec Le Moulin, a historic restaurant starred in 2026 where Breton produce and heritage meet. Set in a 15th century mill, the restaurant overlooks the Aven river in the heart of Pont-Aven. Rosmadec was historically the first restaurant in Finistère to win a Michelin star, in 1933. Chef Sébastien Martinez champions Breton produce such as buckwheat, lait ribot (Breton buttermilk) and Plougastel strawberries. Spider crab, langoustines and lobster show the place of locally caught crustaceans. Characterful sauces and delicate cooking are an important signature of the house. Dishes change with the catch, the harvests and the kitchen’s inspiration: published dishes help understand the style without guaranteeing a dish on demand. Lunch, the evening menu and a tasting menu in several courses do not offer quite the same experience: check what is served on your chosen date. The flower-filled terrace is very popular in fine weather, but its opening and seating are not guaranteed. The painting galleries and the banks of the Aven extend the experience in the town of painters: keep time to walk without rushing the meal.
