About
The Hébergements de Quénécan are one of the strongest nature stays in central Brittany. The estate runs several types of accommodation in the heart of the Quénécan forest: eight treehouses sleeping 32 people in total, three cabins on stilts by the Fourneau pond for 11 people in total, and gîtes in the former ironworks village of the Forges des Salles. The treehouses stand in oaks more than a hundred years old, some more than eight metres up. The cabins on stilts have a direct view of the 12-hectare pond and its birds. The concept is true immersion: no water or electricity in the cabins, a dry toilet inside, and showers and toilets at reception. Beds are made, but bring your own towels. Local gourmet baskets and many outdoor activities are offered. One cabin on stilts is described as accessible to people with reduced mobility. The site can be booked all year and is an exceptional base for the Abbaye de Bon-Repos, Lake Guerlédan and the Forges des Salles.
