About
The Hôtel de Diane is at 12 allée des Acacias in Sables-d’Or-les-Pins, in the town of Fréhel, just 100 metres from the great beach and a few kilometres from Cap Fréhel and Cap d’Erquy. Rated 4 stars, it has 45 rooms and suites, two of them specially adapted for people with reduced mobility. Its size suits couples, families, groups and seminars alike. The building has real heritage value. The Hostellerie de Diane was one of the first six hotels built in 1925 when Sables-d’Or-les-Pins was created. Its half-timbered Anglo-Breton architecture bears direct witness to the seaside project of the Roaring Twenties. The hotel celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025. In 2017, Corinne and Hugo Renouardière relaunched and renovated it, keeping its character while modernising the rooms and lounges, with Art Deco references, natural tones and contemporary comfort. The room range is very clear: Petites Dunes of 15 to 17 m² for one person, Pins of 19 to 20 m² for two, Sables of 20 to 25 m², some with a balcony, Landes of 35 to 40 m² for up to four people, and the 55 m² Suite de Diane with a south-facing terrace. Equipment usually includes a flat-screen TV, hospitality tray, Wi-Fi, safe and organic toiletries, with a minibar in some categories. Pets are accepted. Le 1925 is a bistronomic restaurant with the Maître Restaurateur title. In 2026, chef Matthias Guillaume offers a regularly renewed menu of seasonal produce, fish, lobster, Fréhel oysters and Erquy scallops in season. The restaurant opens in the evening, except on Sundays and Mondays. Breakfast, charged as an extra, features seasonal fruit, local artisan jams, crêpes, pastries, homemade cakes, ham, cheese, eggs and fresh juices. The lounge bar, three lounges and the south-facing terrace complete the experience. The wellness area includes an outdoor hot tub on booking at €20 for 30 minutes and a sauna and hydromassage bed at €60 for one hour; in 2026, the hotel works with Ella Baché for massages and facials. The hotel has free parking, an electric charging point, bikes and a private shuttle. The GR34, the beach, the golf course, the casino and water sports are all close by. A 120 m² plenary room seats about 70 people for conferences.
