About
The Grève du Minieu is the main beach of Sables-d’Or-les-Pins. About three kilometres long, it lies at the heart of a seaside resort created in the 1920s, still marked by its architecture and wooded avenues. The beach is lifeguarded in July and August. The 2026 leisure guide listed a beach access mat for people with reduced mobility from April to October and a Tiralo in July and August. The tourist office also mentions a Hippocampe chair, a kids’ club and activities run by the Centre Nautique de Fréhel and Armor Surf School. The beach is excellent for sand yachting, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking and windsurfing. At its end, the dune spit and the lagoon offer a second world, with marshes, warmer water at high tide and vast play areas at low tide. Dogs and horses are banned from 1 May to 30 September between 9 am and 9 pm. In 2026, official monitoring confirmed a lifeguarded, wheelchair-accessible site with drinking water, toilets and a first-aid post.
