About
Set on the Dinard corniche, Castelbrac occupies a former villa facing the bay of Le Prieuré and Saint-Malo. It enjoys a spectacular position above the water, a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Dinard, the casino and the plage de l’Écluse. Rated 5 stars, Castelbrac is deliberately intimate, with only 23 rooms and suites, all facing the sea. Some also have a balcony or private terrace with a direct view over the tidal Rance and the Saint-Malo coast. The air-conditioned rooms combine contemporary decor, references to Dinard’s maritime history and high-end equipment: Wi-Fi, quality bedding, coffee machine and toiletries depending on the category. The hotel has an outdoor pool heated to about 28°C, designed more as a swimming lane facing the sea than as a large resort pool. It is reserved for hotel guests and open all year, with opening hours adapted to the season. The wellness offer is based on Yon-Ka treatments and two Wellness Suites. A hammam can be used with certain treatments, on booking. Castelbrac is not a large thalassotherapy centre, but a luxury hotel offering very personalised wellness experiences. The Pourquoi Pas restaurant is run by chef Julien Hennote and holds a MICHELIN star. His cooking showcases Brittany, fish, shellfish and seafood, with an exceptional view over the bay. The Aquarium bar and the Salon Charcot extend the experience by day or evening. The hotel also offers 24-hour room service and many concierge services, private parking on booking, Porsche charging points for electric cars, electric bike hire and boat trips. Pets are not accepted.
