About
The Castel Marie-Louise stands facing the ocean in the heart of La Baule, in an elegant house surrounded by gardens. Unlike the large seafront hotels, it deliberately keeps the atmosphere of a refined family home. Rated 5 stars and run by Barrière, it has only 31 rooms and suites. Jacques Garcia’s decor combines fabrics, classic furniture and sophisticated details in the spirit of a grand seaside villa. Superior Rooms start at around 20 m², while Deluxe and sea-view categories offer more space and light. Several connecting configurations sleep four or five people. The Deluxe Sea View Suites are about 40 m², and some have balconies or terraces, ideal for a longer stay or a special occasion. La Table du Castel is the other great pillar of the experience. Chef Jérémy Coirier creates gastronomic French cuisine featuring produce from the Guérande peninsula, fish, crustaceans and local produce. The restaurant has a terrace facing the garden. Pets are welcome in the hotel but not in the restaurant areas. The Castel bar opens in the late afternoon and evening, with a very residential atmosphere. Barrière services also include a concierge, valet parking, transfers, room service and a welcome for families. The hotel does not have its own large spa or resort pool in the building; the other Barrière establishments in La Baule complete the experience nearby.
