About
Every Monday morning, all year round, Auray hosts its big market right in the town centre. It brings together 150 to 200 traders in the low season, and up to 400 in summer. From 1 June to 30 September, the market runs from 8 am to 2 pm. From 1 October to 31 May, it opens from 8.15 am to 1.30 pm. The covered market on Place de la République, renovated and reopened in 2023, is open at the same time. The harbour of Saint-Goustan, on the Auray river, is a few minutes’ walk away. After the market, you can visit the Carnac alignments, about 15 minutes by car (13 km), and the Museum of Prehistory in Carnac, about 17 minutes by car (14 km).
