About
The Grande Plage is the seaside emblem of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo. It stretches for nearly 2 km of fine sand right next to the town centre, shops and restaurants. The beach is lifeguarded in July and August and has a first-aid post, showers and improved wheelchair access, with a ramp, a mat to the water, two adapted beach wheelchairs and a changing cabin at the Rotonde first-aid post. In summer, the resort also offers beach clubs, water sports and tent or cabin hire. A coastal promenade of about 1 km links the beach to the harbour and is suitable for pushchairs and people with reduced mobility. In 2026, water quality was monitored from 15 June to 15 September, with an excellent recent record. Dogs and horses are banned from the beaches of Saint-Cast between 10 am and 7.30 pm from 15 June to 15 September.
