About
Rochebonne beach is in the Paramé quarter, between La Hoguette and the Plage du Pont, as a natural continuation of the great Sillon beach. Very popular with local families, it hosts many beach volleyball and beach soccer events in summer. In 2026, lifeguards were on duty every day from 4 July to 30 August, from 12.30 pm to 7 pm. The site is equipped, wheelchair accessible and has drinking water, toilets, a first-aid post and two Hippocampe beach wheelchairs in July and August. The sensitive point is water quality: Rochebonne was rated insufficient in 2025, and during summer 2026 the town recorded three temporary closures, one after a health alert on 27 July and two preventive closures on 12 and 19 August. Dogs are banned from Saint-Malo’s beaches until 30 September inclusive.
