What to do in Saint-Malo during the All Saints’ holidays
The Route du Rhum village and start, the ramparts, the Grand Bé at the spring tides, the Grand Aquarium and Cancale: our ideas for All Saints’ 2026 in Saint-Malo.

The 2026 All Saints’ holidays run from Saturday 17 October to Monday 2 November, for all three zones at once. In Saint-Malo, All Saints’ 2026 is like no other: the town hosts the start of the Route du Rhum, which only happens every four years.

The Grand Aquarium has also announced a Halloween programme for 2026: the dates are on its website.
The Route du Rhum, from 20 October to 1 November
The village opened on Tuesday 20 October on the quays: thirteen days of pontoons, parades and free activities, with more than a hundred boats in the docks, from giant trimarans to small monohulls. The start is given on Sunday 1 November at 1:02pm, heading for Guadeloupe.
The ramparts and the Grand Bé
The walk around the ramparts of the walled city is less than two kilometres and can be done in any weather. At low tide, you can walk to the island of Grand Bé and Chateaubriand’s tomb: during the spring tides of 26 to 28 October, the foreshore was uncovered very far out. Check the tide time before setting off, as the sea quickly covers the causeway.
