About
Port-Maria is the favourite beach of Larmor-Plage regulars. It borders a very lively promenade, locally nicknamed the little Croisette, with several bars and restaurants right on the seafront. In July and August, the beach hosts a beach club, a beach library and the town’s Forme à la plage fitness activities. Swimming is lifeguarded by the SNSM in July and August. The beach has showers, toilets, drinks and food nearby, a channel for water sports and wheelchair access. In 2026, an access mat made swimming easier at Port-Maria until the end of September. The supported Handiplage service, with floating wheelchairs and dedicated staff, is based at Toulhars beach. Dogs are banned from all Larmor-Plage beaches. The town runs extra water quality checks on top of the ARS controls.
