About
This pleasant wooded loop sets off from Elliant and crosses the Jet valley, between sunken lanes and lovely views over the countryside. The neo-Gothic Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours chapel was built in 1843 on the ruins of an older chapel. The Jet river rises in Coray and runs 28.5 km to the Odet. From the presbytery garden there is a view over the valley; the 17th and 18th century Saint-Gilles church has one of the tallest bell towers in Cornouaille, home to a colony of greater horseshoe bats. The loop is 6.1 km long; allow about 1 h 30 of walking. Start: the multipurpose hall, Grande Place, in Elliant. The official route, published by Concarneau Cornouaille Agglomération, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
