About
The tour of the village of Coray, “Tro ar Vourc’h” in Breton, is a short, easy loop starting from the Poullen stadium. The route crosses the Foenneg Lenn leisure park, then the hamlet of Porlazou, probably “Porz Lazou”, the manor courtyard: this is the historic quarter of Coray, with traces of Roman occupation and a feudal motte. Prince Guihumarc’h, son of Nominoë, the first king of Brittany, is said to have lived here in the 9th century. The way back passes Kerfeot and the village of Carront Glas, where the Glas stream still flows. The loop is 5.3 km long; allow about 1 h 20 of walking. Start: the Poullen stadium, in Coray. The waymarking is green. The official route, published by the Haute Cornouaille community of communes, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
