About
At the foot of the Monts d’Arrée, this Lannédern trail follows much of the old railway line that linked Plouescat to Rosporden, abandoned in 1933. After the Goaffe valley and the edge of the Bodriec wood, you join the railway line and the Croix chapel. In the Quillien wood, a bridge spans the Douffine, a trout and salmon river: it marks the furthest point salmon swim upstream. The way back passes the water tower, the highest point in the commune, and returns to the village, whose parish close has an ossuary and a 17th century church. The loop is 15.8 km long; allow about 3 h 55 of walking. Start: the centre of Lannédern. The official route, published by the Pleyben-Châteaulin-Porzay community of communes, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
