About
This walk explores Le Sourn from its heights, which overlook Pontivy in places. Valleys and dales feed streams that mostly flow into the Blavet. The Plurit valley, the “apple orchard”, is looked after by an association to encourage wildlife: hunting is banned and you can see tits, robins, thrushes and kestrels. The village of Kerdisson has a fine carved calvary near an avenue of trees. After the Resto neighbourhood, the village of Sainte-Tréphine keeps a 17th century manor and a chapel with a painted vault, open in summer for “L’art dans les chapelles”. The loop is 11 km long; allow about 2 h 45 of walking. The stated level is moderate. Start: the multipurpose hall in Le Sourn. The official route, published by Pontivy Communauté, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone. The route is listed in the département’s official walking route plan (PDIPR).
