About
In the village of Pleudihen-sur-Rance, L’Osmose offers a human-sized gastronomic break. Behind a discreet address on Place de l’Église lies a warm dining room of wood and stone, designed for taking your time. Between Dinan and Saint-Malo, the restaurant makes the Rance valley a true culinary horizon. Ludovic Dirscherl creates instinctive cooking, shaped by the seasons, the producers and carefully judged contrasts. Trained notably in the Basque Country and then in great French restaurants, he brings together regional roots and a wider freedom of inspiration. The menu is deliberately short and renewed each season, while the Découverte menu changes about every fortnight. Cooking, sauces and chosen herbs and aromas are at the heart of his style. Adèle Gendron brings an essential sense of welcome. As the dining room is small, book ahead. Some dietary needs can be catered for on prior request, and animals are not allowed. To round off the meal, the Rance villages and riverside paths are well worth exploring.
