About
In the heart of Plouër-sur-Rance, a few steps from the church, L’Epikur gives the buckwheat galette a special edge. The pleasure starts with a thin, golden batter whose edges turn crisp under the knife. The house keeps a Gallo tradition alive without freezing it: a carefully chosen filling, a few seasonal products and precise cooking are enough to transform a galette. Alexis Delanne, a local, works with Laëtitia Ouin and a network of nearby farms. The buckwheat grows near the Rance; vegetables, dairy, eggs and charcuterie come as far as possible from local producers. Fresh goat’s cheese from Pleudihen, Dinan andouille or local charcuterie make for truly Breton pairings, while the recipes change with the seasons. A choice of ciders, a few brasserie-style dishes and wheat crêpes round off the experience. L’Epikur is a lovely stop while exploring the Rance valley, along with the riverside paths, Dinan or the neighbouring villages.
