About

In the heart of La Clarté, in Perros-Guirec, Balafenn feels more like a house where you come to share a moment than an impersonal restaurant. Alexis and Cynthia Coÿne opened it in 2024 and gave it a meaningful name: balafenn means butterfly in Breton, reflecting their attachment to a living, fragile environment worth protecting. Alexis Coÿne’s cooking, shaped notably by the Ferrandi school, follows the seasons and his discoveries. Breton produce, touches from travel, textures and varied seasonings come together in menus whose content can remain a surprise. The line is clear: carefully chosen ingredients, limited waste and generous flavours. The glass-walled dining room, the garden and the terrace are a big part of the experience. Come as a couple, with family or as lovers of modern cooking, before heading to the landscapes of the Pink Granite Coast.
