What to do in Perros-Guirec: the complete guide

The customs officers’ path, Ploumanac’h and the Mean Ruz lighthouse, the Sept-Îles, the Trestraou beaches, Trégastel and the planetarium: what to do in and around Perros-Guirec.

Perros-Guirec is the capital of the Pink Granite Coast. Its strangely shaped rocks, pink in the setting sun, can be discovered on one of the most beautiful paths on the Breton coast.

The customs officers’ path

It links Trestraou beach to the harbour of Ploumanac’h along the coast, among the granite boulders. Allow an hour one way without rushing, and come back the same way: the light will have changed.

Ploumanac’h and the Mean Ruz lighthouse

Voted the French’s favourite village in 2015, Ploumanac’h has its pink granite lighthouse among the rocks, and its oratory of Saint Guirec on the beach. Offshore, the Château de Costaérès stands on its island.

The Sept-Îles

This nature reserve is home to the largest gannet colony in France, on the island of Rouzic, and puffins in spring. Boats leave from Trestraou; landing is only allowed on the Île aux Moines, with its lighthouse.

Beaches and outings

Around Perros-Guirec

Trégastel and its beaches, and the Île Renote and its rocks, are ten minutes away. In Pleumeur-Bodou, the radome, the Cité des Télécoms and the Planétarium de Bretagne fill a rainy day.
