About

In Sainte-Marine, at the Villa Tri Men overlooking the Odet, Frédéric Claquin creates seafood cuisine awarded one star in 2026. Langoustines, line-caught fish and scents from further afield are enjoyed facing the estuary, through several tasting menus. Les Trois Rochers enjoys an exceptional position above the Odet, in the Villa Tri Men at Sainte-Marine. On one side, the estuary and the port of Bénodet; on the other, pine trees and a garden. This setting gives the meal a feeling of calm and light, especially from the large windows or the terrace when conditions allow. It is a hotel restaurant with character, not a brasserie on the quay. Frédéric Claquin favours fish, shellfish and crustaceans from the Breton coast. He works on precise cooking and concentrated broths, with touches of seaweed, spices or herbs that enrich the produce. Langoustine ravioli and crustacean broths are among the published examples. The catch changes the species and the availability of each dish. The Découverte, Plaisir and Les Trois Rochers menus are different tasting routes, with varying length and budget. For a first visit, choose the menu according to the time you have, and check that the shortest option is offered at the service you want. The restaurant follows a particular calendar: for 2026, it announces service from April to November, then an exceptional opening from late December to early January. This matters for winter visitors who might assume the hotel and restaurant are open all year. Saturday lunch should not be mistaken for a daily lunch service either. The website confirms lift access for people with reduced mobility and asks guests to mention special needs. Dogs are not allowed in the dining room. For a celebration, check arrival time, cancellation terms, any supplements and a seat facing the water. Sainte-Marine has a small harbour and a lovely coastal path for before or after the meal. Bénodet, across the Odet, helps place the restaurant in the landscape, but do not underestimate the trip between the two banks: there is no simple footpath between them. A walk around Sainte-Marine is enough to extend the experience without rushing. The Villa Tri Men has rooms and the Trois Rochers restaurant, booked separately. The house asks for smart dress, without excessive formality. A request for the terrace or a table with a view must be confirmed by the team.
