About
Le Sillon is the great iconic beach of Île-Tudy. It stretches for about a kilometre within 1.5 km of south-facing beaches, in an area sheltered from the prevailing winds. The sand is very fine and pale. The sailing centre is right behind the beach and offers sea walking, kayaking, classic paddleboarding and elliptical paddleboarding. The dunes are lined with tall pines, with picnic tables and games. To the west, the village, its cafés, restaurants and shops are about 400 m away. In 2026, the tourist office announced lifeguarded swimming from 1 July to 31 August, from 1 pm to 7 pm, with two lifeguards, a first-aid post and a Hippocampe beach wheelchair; check the first-aid post’s hours and the signs on the day. Dogs are banned from 1 May to 30 September, then allowed on a lead for the rest of the year.
