About

Peck & Co is much more than a lunch spot in Brest: Romain and Charlotte Pouzadoux have created a gourmet “Poulailler” (henhouse) combining a creative table, Saturday brunch, takeaway food, a delicatessen and workshops. Tasting menus, pastries and wines carry the same passion for flavour. Peck & Co deliberately blurs the lines between shop, gourmet lounge, kitchen table and place of learning. You might come for a full lunch, a coffee with a pastry, something to take away or a workshop. The nickname “Poulailler” reflects a lively atmosphere rather than the solemn calm of a grand gastronomic dining room, so choose the right service before booking. Romain Pouzadoux cooks with technique, creativity and care for produce, while Charlotte brings her eye for wine and service. Seasonal dishes can be more refined than a quick-service menu might suggest, but the room stays friendly and very accessible. The restaurant focuses on lunches from Tuesday to Friday. The chef builds menus around the ingredients available, sometimes revealed course by course, with great attention to sauces, textures and finish, without the length of a grand dinner. Check whether an à la carte menu or a surprise menu is served on your date. On Saturday lunchtime, Peck & Co serves a brunch to put together à la carte, with two booking slots, 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm: eggs, pastries, toasts, cakes and savoury dishes of the moment. On weekdays, there is also a street food offer, separate from the sit-down meal, and various dishes to take away. Cooking and wine workshops are part of the project. The house also holds exceptional dinners on separately announced dates, some with twelve-course menus, which need their own booking. A card imprint is taken when booking, so check the cancellation terms. Rue Fautras is close to the shopping streets, the rue de Siam, the castle and the walks of the city centre. After brunch, a trip on the cable car to the Ateliers des Capucins makes a natural follow-on, and a weekday lunch can come before a visit to the Musée national de la Marine.
