What to do in Brest during the All Saints’ holidays
The Happy Quartz festival, Halloween magic at the Capucins, the renovated Océanopolis, the castle and Crozon: our ideas for the 2026 All Saints’ holidays in Brest.
7 min read
The 2026 All Saints’ holidays run from Saturday 17 October to Monday 2 November, for all three zones at once. Brest is a city that looks to the sea, and its major sights are under cover: enough to fill the holidays even when the Finistère sky misbehaves.
All Saints’ 2026 events in Brest
Le Quartz devotes the second week of the holidays to young audiences with the Happy Quartz festival, and the Capucins play at witchcraft for Halloween.
| When | What | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 19 to 22 October | “Une fête monstrueuse”, a magic comedy for families | Comédie du Finistère, Capucins |
| 20, 21, 22 and 28 October | Hike to the Petit Minou lighthouse | Plouzané |
| 21 to 24 October | Happy Quartz festival, for young audiences | Le Quartz |
| 23 and 24 October | “Le Bruit des loups”, by Étienne Saglio | Le Quartz |
| Saturday 24 October | “Klew”, in Breton and in sign language | Le Quartz |
| 23 to 26 October | “Secret de sorcière”, from age 3 | Comédie du Finistère, Capucins |
| 27 to 29 October | “La Sorcière Têtenlère” | Comédie du Finistère, Capucins |
Not to be missed: “Le Bruit des loups”, a new magic tale by Étienne Saglio, one of the festival’s flagship shows, for the whole family, from €10 a seat.
Océanopolis
The ocean discovery park reopened its fully redone tropical pavilion in July 2026, with a new route and large windows onto the reefs. The polar pavilion is still under renovation in 2026: check whether it has reopened before you come. Allow at least half a day.
The castle and the harbour
The Château de Brest, which has guarded the mouth of the Penfeld since Antiquity, houses the Musée national de la Marine. The cable car then links the centre to the Capucins district, former arsenal workshops turned into a large covered venue, and Recouvrance on the other side of the water.
