About
Jugon-les-Lacs was one of the first towns in Brittany to receive the Petite Cité de Caractère label. The old centre is organised around Place du Martray and several remarkable houses, including the Maison de la Tête Noire and the Hôtel Sevoy. But what makes the destination unusual is the constant presence of water: two rivers, a large lake and a network of paths that let you go from heritage to nature without getting back in the car. The Maison Pêche et Nature adds activities, workshops and an introduction to aquatic life. The viaduct and the walks around the lake offer lovely views.
What you will see
- Visits: the centre and the shores are free to explore; activities have set times.
- Nature: a lake and rivers.
- Maison Pêche et Nature: activities and discovery sessions.
- Iconic site: Place du Martray.
- Heritage: the Maison de la Tête Noire and the Hôtel Sevoy.
- Jugon grew around river crossings and a strategic site.
