About
The Camping municipal de la Mer lies at the tip of the Pointe de Primel, in Plougasnou, 3 kilometres from the village and 15 kilometres north of Morlaix. Seagulls and sea spray fill the horizon. It has 62 pitches with electricity, big enough for a caravan, a tent and a car, and 2 stopover cabins sleeping three, reserved for hikers and cyclists. There are no mobile homes: the campsite blends into the site. A common room has a fridge, a freezer for ice packs, a kitchenette, a library and table football; Wi-Fi is free near reception. A small grocery helps out, and bread can be ordered the day before. The hedges are not trimmed from April to late July, for the birds. The campsite is on the GR 34 and the Vélomaritime. The Barnenez cairn is 15 kilometres away, and surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing are all available around Primel.
