About
La Mer d’Iroise is on rue de Pors ar Vag in Plomodiern, near the beach of the same name, at the head of the bay of Douarnenez. The Ménez-Hom dominates the hinterland, and the long-distance footpath passes 100 metres from the campsite. The water area has an indoor pool heated to 26°C and a paddling pool; in high season, an outdoor pool with slides opens for older children. The Piki club, evening events and sports games liven up the summer. The campsite has 129 pitches. Mobile homes and chalets, set on plots of about 100 m² lined with hedges, come with a TV and bedding (duvets and pillows provided). Each rental has its own parking space, and a car park at the entrance takes extra vehicles. The Ménez-Hom, 330 metres high, attracts paragliders, and the Port-Musée in Douarnenez has five old boats to visit. By the sea, Pentrez beach in Saint-Nic is about 9 minutes by car (4.5 km). Locronan is about 21 minutes by car (13 km).
