About
The Bout du Monde sand yachting school is on the wild Lestrevet beach in Plomodiern, facing the bay of Douarnenez. This long strip of hard sand along the Atlantic is ideal terrain for wind sports. Jérôme, who grew up on the Crozon peninsula, is a several-time Brittany champion and a former member of the French team. He teaches the basics before letting you steer on a marked course: from age 8 on your own, from age 5 in a two-seater. Allow an hour for a first try, twice that for an improvement session. The school is open all year; in 2026, an introductory session costs €20 to €25.
