About
A walk with sea views: in Saint-Nic, at the gateway to the Crozon peninsula, the squirrel trail shows the bay of Douarnenez from every angle, from Douarnenez to the Cap de la Chèvre and the Cap-Sizun. You set off along the route of the old Breton railway line. The hamlet of Kerolier is a paradise of hydrangeas. From Le Cosquer and then Lescorveau, the view opens onto almost the whole bay, and onto the Menez-Hom. In the wooded part of Trohom, to the sound of the stream, you may spot squirrels. A short detour leads to the Chapelle-Neuve spring, whose water was believed to help children walk sooner. The loop is 7.8 km long; allow about 1 h 55 of walking. Start: the start of rue du Lotissement-des-Mimosas, in Saint-Nic (old station). The official route, published by the Pleyben-Châteaulin-Porzay community of communes, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
