About
At the far end of the bay of Douarnenez, this trail offers views of Douarnenez and the Cap de la Chèvre. It follows the GR 34 through the Sainte-Anne-la-Palud dunes. Every August, the Sainte-Anne-la-Palud chapel hosts the pardon of Saint Anne, patron saint of Brittany. At the Tréfeuntec car park, a monument pays tribute to the aviator Jean-Marie Le Bris, who in the late 1850s built a glider with movable wings, the “winged boat”. After the hamlets of Tréfeuntec and Kergoasguen, the coastal path follows jagged cliffs to the Beg an Ty Garde point. The loop is 9.8 km long; allow about 2 h 25 of walking. Start: the Tréfeuntec cove car park, in Plonévez-Porzay. The route partly follows the GR 34. The official route, published by the Pleyben-Châteaulin-Porzay community of communes, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
