About
The Château de Kerguéhennec was built in the 18th century in the countryside of Bignan. The estate was designed as a great aristocratic residence in the heart of an ordered landscape, then greatly enriched over the generations. The park is now one of the site’s great assets. Contemporary works are set outdoors and interact with the trees, meadows, ponds and views of the château. The Morbihan department has made Kerguéhennec a contemporary art centre and exhibition venue. Usually, the château and outbuildings host works, while the park is free to visit. The château is closed for a major programme of works planned until 2027. The park remains open free of charge from 8 am to 9 pm. Parking and access arrangements are changed during the works.
