About
The lighthouse keeper’s house on the Île Louët is exceptional accommodation in the literal sense. The island lies off Carantec, facing the Château du Taureau and the islets of the Bay of Morlaix bird reserve. The house, restored by the town of Carantec, sleeps up to ten people in simple but complete comfort. It has three bedrooms in the house, two doubles and one for four, plus an extra bed on a mezzanine in the former roadman’s workshop. The toilets are in the old fisherman’s shed and the washrooms in the former pigsty. In 2026, stays are sold in three very strict formats: one night from 5 pm to 5 pm the next day for €450, one night from noon to noon for €450, or two days and two nights for €744. Only one booking request per year per group is accepted. The boat transfer can be arranged by Carantec Nautisme for €137 return for the whole group, to be booked at least fifteen days ahead. This rarity and these logistics are an integral part of the experience.
