About
The Auberge des Glazicks is at 7 rue de la Plage in Plomodiern, between the Menez-Hom and the bay of Douarnenez. This family house founded in 1870 has become one of the great gourmet addresses in the Finistère under chef Olivier Bellin. Today it combines a 4 star hotel with just eight rooms, membership of Relais & Châteaux and a restaurant holding two Michelin stars since 2010. The very small number of rooms is part of the experience: 8 rooms for 16 guests, rated 4 stars on 4 January 2024. There are three families of rooms, Menez, Plage and Ile, all with generous volumes and a strong connection to the bay. Menez rooms are about 26 to 32 m², with a queen bed or two singles, a bathroom with a shower and, depending on the room, a terrace or balcony overlooking the bay. One of them, Menez Hom, is adapted for people with reduced mobility. An extra bed can be added in some rooms, for up to three people. Plage rooms offer about 28 to 38 m², adding a seating area and a bathroom with a bath or shower, and a balcony or terrace may open onto the bay. Ile rooms are about 40 m², with a king bed or twin beds, a seating area, a bathroom with a bath and separate shower, and a balcony or terrace facing the bay.
