About

Kerhillio is Erdeven’s great iconic beach. Very vast, easy to reach and backed by a dune system classified Natura 2000, it hosts most of the town’s seaside activities. In 2026, lifeguards were on duty every day from 2 July to 30 August, from 12.30 pm to 7 pm. The town has set up specific wheelchair access from the first-aid post, a five-metre emergency corridor and a Handiplage scheme; the tourist office mentions two Hippocampe beach wheelchairs, two Tiralos and an access mat. Kerhillio is also a major board sports spot: surfing and windsurfing outside the swimming zone, kitesurfing in a dedicated zone to the south-east, and sand yachting on an area of about 15,000 m² with regulated hours in summer. The beach has toilets, drinking water, restaurants nearby and car parks. Dogs are allowed on Erdeven’s beaches only from 16 September to 14 March, except on the Porh Lineneu dog beach.
