About
From Saint-Ségal to Pont-de-Buis, this hilly and partly shaded trail follows the banks of the Douffine, a tributary of the Aulne, in a peaceful setting. From the centre of Saint-Ségal, heading towards Cosquérou, the path links sunken lanes, woodland and the meanders of the Douffine, passing near a fish farm (not open to visitors) and the fine houses of the hamlet of Pont Real. It passes back and forth under the viaduct before returning via Pont-de-Buis-lès-Quimerc’h. A fitness trail has been set up in the woods, and a military boundary stone is hidden along the route. The Douffine marshes, known as the Palud, cover 80 hectares. The loop is 11.3 km long; allow about 2 h 50 of walking. Start: the centre of Saint-Ségal. The official route, published by the Pleyben-Châteaulin-Porzay community of communes, is shown on the map and can be downloaded as a GPX file to follow on your phone.
