In February, Brittany is calm, prices are gentle and the light is often magnificent between showers. In 2027, it is also the time of one of the highest tides of the year.
The dates of the 2027 winter holidays
| Zone | 2027 winter holidays |
|---|---|
| Zone A | Saturday 13 February to Monday 1 March |
| Zone B (Rennes, Nantes) | Saturday 20 February to Monday 8 March |
| Zone C | Saturday 6 February to Monday 22 February |
The Rennes and Nantes education authorities are in zone B, so Breton families go on holiday from late February to early March.
The spring tides from 21 to 24 February
The coefficient will reach 110 on Monday 22 February 2027. At high tide, the waves break over the sea walls, especially in Saint-Malo; at low tide, the sea uncovers huge foreshores, perfect for shore fishing.
