About
In Mûr-de-Bretagne, in the heart of the Guerlédan area, the Auberge Grand’Maison champions gastronomy where great French traditions meet Breton produce. The house does not need to sit on a clifftop facing the sea to express the region. Here, Christophe Le Fur brings together the Armor (the coast) and the Argoat (the inland woods) in generous, technical cooking with particular care for sauces. The chef, originally from Cap Fréhel, took over in 2004. His career includes regaining a star in 2018, which the restaurant still holds in 2026. Lobster, langoustines, foie gras, fine cuts of meat, morels and elaborate desserts show a cuisine that loves noble produce, but also gives a carrot, a beetroot or buckwheat their full place. The house has rooms to extend your stay and also offers cooking workshops. It suits festive meals, lovers of real French cooking and those who want to combine gastronomy and nature in Central Brittany. The shores of Lake Guerlédan, the surrounding villages and the Bon-Repos abbey are all ideas to make a full day of it.
