In 2027, Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday: enough to make a real weekend of it, from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 February. Book early, as this weekend coincides with the winter holidays of zone C, which start on 6 February, and zone A, on the 13th.
For a romantic weekend in any season, with a base and places to visit as a couple, our article “A romantic weekend in Brittany” gives the itinerary. Here is what makes a successful Valentine’s Day in the depths of winter.
A spa facing the sea
In February, the sea is too cold for swimming, but perfect to watch from a hot bath. The thalassotherapy centres of Quiberon, Dinard, Pornic or Perros-Guirec, and the spa hotels along the coast, offer packages for two: book the treatments at the same time as the room, as they sell out before it.
