Waterfront hotels in Brittany

Sainte-Barbe, Les Sables Blancs, Les Bassans, Port-Blanc: our sea view hotels in Brittany, where the rooms look out to the ocean, from two to five stars.

6 min read

Waking up facing the sea is the promise everyone looks for in Brittany. But it has to be kept: in many hotels, only a few rooms have the view. Here are addresses where the sea is everywhere, or nearly, for every budget.

Every room facing the sea

In Le Conquet, Sainte-Barbe lines up 34 rooms behind large bay windows, suspended above the Iroise Sea. In Dinard, all 23 rooms at Castelbrac look over the bay. In Concarneau, Les Sables Blancs was built right on the beach: all 21 rooms have a sea view. In Perros-Guirec, all 25 rooms at Les Bassans open onto the sea, and in Erquy, the Hôtel de la Plage faces the bay entirely.

The sea from every room

Small houses by the water

A sea view is not just for the grand hotels. In Penvénan, the two star Grand Hôtel de Port-Blanc offers 21 rooms all facing the bay and a terrace over the water. In Trébeurden, the Pavillon de la Plage looks onto Pors Termen beach, with a sea view from every room. In Ploemeur, Le Vivier looks out to the Île de Groix from its 14 rooms. In Le Croisic, the Grand Hôtel de l’Océan has only 10 rooms, set on the rocks of Port-Lin.

Small prices, big view

Facing the ocean, with extra soul

In Sainte-Anne-la-Palud, the Hôtel de la Plage, a Relais & Châteaux, sits facing the Bay of Douarnenez. In Trébeurden, almost every room at the Manoir de Lan-Kerellec looks out over the islands of the Pink Granite Coast. In Port-Manec’h, the Manoir Dalmore, a 10 room eco hotel, sits facing the sea. In Saint-Malo, Le Beaufort looks straight onto the Sillon sea wall, with 14 sea view rooms out of 22.
